is the JRE EMS Sharpening Block System. With it you can: Strop your knife edge. Sharpen your knife edge. Maintain your knife edge. Reprofile your knife edge. The EMS works equally well for convex edges, bevel grinds and scandi edges. The block is covered with very dense neoprene to give the proper backing for convex harpening. For other edge types, simply put the required abrasive paper over the leather to form a stiffer backing. The Block has been made with ergonomics, comfort and convenience in mind. The recesses in the sides of the Block make it easy to hold and manuever for long periods of use. More importantly, it keeps fingers and hands away from your razor sharp edges. You can also clamp the Block into your bench vise in the shop for an even quicker edge sharpening session. No need to clamp it to the kitchen table! Changing the abrasives takes seconds, and there are no parts to lose. Simply flip the clamp levers 180 degrees, insert abrasive and close the clamps.
